ABOUT CASHMERE
All our cashmere products are made in one family workshop in Kathmandu, by just 14 workers who are involved in all the processes of spinning, dyeing, knitting, weaving and labelling to the finished item.

Cashmere is often referred to as the 'diamond' of fibres. Cashmere comes from a goat native to the Himalayan area usually living about 12,000 to 14,000 feet high. It comes from the soft underbelly of the goat. The cashmere fibre  - or Pasham - which literally means 'inside', is hidden underneath a thick layer of wool.

Shawl making in Nepal is not a science but a craft involving various hand processes. Traditional methods are still used at each stage in the creation of these beautiful shawls and ponchos.
